Luxman M-120A Gallery

The Luxman M-120A uses heat-pipe heatsinks. Not our favourite type of heatsink, but they seem to get the job done, nonetheless.

The new filter capacitors (blue, in front of the power transformer) can be seen in the above image. They are 15000 uF each.

I have a habit of forgetting to take pictures after we put the cover back on, and it has happened again with the M-120A! I'll add those pictures when I get them...
During the 1960's and 1970's Luxman produced many examples of fine high quality, high end audio components. Like many other manufacturers, for the most part the quality of their products declined during the 1980's. However, Luxman is again producing very high end, exotic (i.e, expensive!) amplifiers (both tube amps and solid-state), preamplifiers and digital components. The swank B-1000F monoblock power amplifiers will set you back in the neighbourhood of $55000!
